Tread blocks the apps that eat your day, then sells the minutes back to you for steps.
It is built from your own seven day average. Walk more than usual and minutes get cheaper. Fall behind and they get dearer. Your competition is last week's you, not a board full of people with more time to walk than you have.
Which apps you picked. iOS hands the app an opaque token, so Tread itself cannot name them.
Your screen time. iOS never gives it to the app as data. It only lets the app show you a view that iOS draws, so the numbers never reach our code.
Both of those are limits of the platform, not promises we are keeping.
Being straight about the limits. No app on iOS can make itself unremovable without enterprise management, and Tread does not pretend otherwise. You can always delete it. What it can do is put a price on the moment you reach for the thing you said you wanted less of.
An optional subscription: five unblocks a week instead of three, three streak freezes a month instead of one, and no cap on shielded apps or schedules. $0.99 a month or $8.99 a year.
Club never makes screen time cheaper. The price still comes from your own steps, and unblocks are never sold on their own.
Tread is on TestFlight now. If you want to try it early, write to saifsiddiqui2409@gmail.com.
